Malicious Email Attachments
Posted 01/09/2008
Please be aware of unexpected email attachments. Recently there has been an alarming number of malicious email attachments opened on computers that have been seriously infected and made them completely unusable.
Before opening any unexpected email attachments, please make sure that it is from a valid source.
If anything should pop-up suggesting you should download a virus/spyware protection/removal tool, do NOT click "yes". This is part of the virus and will download nothing but trouble!

Important Legal Requirements
Posted 05/09/2008
Please find information about updated legal requirements for websites and email footers. If you do not have these we can update your website with these details as well as creating a legally compliant footer for your emails. We can also create customised email footers with logos and links to web pages, services and email.
Please check your website and email for the following legal requirements and contact us should you require help with updating these.
Website
rom the first of January 2007 companies must include certain information on their website as required by the new Companies Act 2006. In summary this includes:
- The company's name.
- The company's registered office address.
- The company's place of registration and registration number.(i.e. registered in England and Wales, or Scotland, company registered number 10101010)
- If the company is an investment company a statement to that effect must be included.
- If the company is exempt from the obligation to use the word "Limited" as part of its name, it must state elsewhere that it is a limited company.
This information must also appear on Company business letterhead and Company order forms.
Additionally EU regulations require the Company VAT registration number to be posted on the site.
Email
Email could be considered your electronic letterhead. Consequently the information required for Company letterhead is also required to be shown on Company emails - normally as footer text displayed below the email signature. There are other European directives that require the VAT registration number also to be included.
You should also have the following statements in your email footer
- Confidentiality notice
- Anti virus disclaimer
- Accuracy liability disclaimer
